Howdy, fellow Draconiacs! RazorFox here.
Is Eone orchestrating a bit of sabotage?
Those of you looking for a soundtrack for this page can pull up “The Hardest Button to Button” by The White Stripes.
Not too long ago, I had the incredible pleasure of attending my sixteenth NekoCon, and despite having attended this local convention every year since its inception in 1998, this year stood out as it was perhaps the biggest gathering of Katbox team members in history. As expected, I was joined by fellow contributors MasterGodai (Rascals), Sage (YOSH! Saga), Nekonny (Caribbean Blue)–great people all around–but to my surprise, we were also joined by Las Lindas writers ID_Fox and Soulkat, the latter of whom journeyed cross-country to join this auspicious gathering!
Until now, I didn’t know if Soulkat was an actual person. Turns out he’s very, very real. In fact, if I’m not mistaken, it’s the first time any Katbox team members have met him in person, and he and ID are two of the nicest, most welcoming people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. It was downright amazing meeting them, and getting this many of us together was a sight to behold. ID and Soulkat have expressed interest in returning next year. So, for those of you who like Katbox titles and want to meet a bunch of us in one fellswoop, keep your weekends free in November 2014.
Speaking of 2014, I want to thank all the folks who came out to NekoCon, said hello, picked up some Draconia Chronicles swag, and pre-ordered copies of the 2014 Draconia Chronicles Calendar, which this year carries the theme “If They Were Human…” You’ll have your chance to order online soon. Stay tuned!
Finally, just a quick reminder that, due to work and a return to college, the comic is no longer pegged to any particular day of the week for updates. Pages go up as soon as they’re done, and you can keep track of updates through such avenues as my Twitter feed, my tumblr blog, and the Draconia Chronicles Facebook page. The comic also has an RSS feed, if you’re so inclined.
Again, thanks to all of you–both within and outside of Katbox–who made this year’s NekoCon perhaps the most memorable, and thanks to all of you for your patience and loyalty as you wait for new pages. Take care, my fellow Draconiacs, and thanks for reading!
